Unravelled indeed!

Monday 25 November 2013

And this, my lovelies, is my unravelling. Bugger.

AKA I have totally dropped and unravelled some stitches!

My reaction: AGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

Can I please confess to just dumping my knitting when this happened a few days ago? I simply went into a blind panic. Somehow I haven't dropped a stitch before. But in my panic I actually dropped the stitch/stitches over a few rows. I know repairing it has something to do with crochet hooks and the like, but can someone point me in the direction of a good tutorial? I'd be eternally grateful!

P.S. Yes, it's starting to look like I only knit with green yarn, but I swear it's not the case. I'm just a bit obsessed with green at the moment. I'm sure it'll pass...

  1. Oh schizer! It's the blind leading the blind here! All I know is that if you're doing stockinette you need to do one stitch one side, and then turn and do it from the other side! My 'repairs' always look terrible. I tend to just unravel and restart! Look up how to put in a lifeline and then unravel back to there! And do it flat on a table, not on your lap, easier to do it slowly. Good luck!

  5. Sarah, I can't unravel and re-start. I think it would break my spirit! I am knitting bottom up, in the round and am nearly to the armholes! Also I don't know how to frog in the round and get the needles back in. I'm going to look into that "lifeline" though, thanks!
